Scale looks great, instant stand-on operation, consistent weigh and re-weigh. good size fits everyone’s feet, slides right under the vanity, and sleek color all thumbs up. Also, ESF24 comes with a measuring tape also (don’t throw it away by mistake, it is a small item affixed to the middle bottom of the box). The app works well as others have indicated. Online instructions and videos do not necessarily align with the delivered instructions on and in the box.Tried the model ESF-551, did “not” like it. Too small in size for size 11 or 12 feet, takes a loooooong time to calibrate and prepare to take your weight, annoying. However, it does display weight in one-tenth vs two-tenth pound increments.

Overall – Great! But. First, the great: A LOT of value to this scale; well made, accurate (even though I don’t like what it says!), and a decent app interface that reports many health metrics. I have no idea if they’re accurate but are a stunning revelation nevertheless. Now, the not so great; scale footpad is a bit small and if I was just slightly heavier, I might have a balance/crowding issue. The app’s food logging is cumbersome and the database is very thin on existing packaged foods. There are better/easier apps for this.

Easy and informative. The scale is fairly light, and the numbers are easy to read. The app that comes with it is a one stop shop. It gives you a total breakdown of your body mass, and tracks the changes for you. You can also set up diet and fasting programs, build healthy habits, track your calories, water, and exercise, and even add a plant. And the service comes with the scale, there’s no extra fee. You are getting so much more for your money with this scale.

Very accurate for weight. Body fat % a little lower than actual. I periodically use a high-end weight and body fat measuring machine at the gym I go to, and have wanted to have something similar at home. Those I had seen — prior to running across this Etekcity scale — were prohibitively expensive. So when I saw an external review of this machine that described what it does, and at a $20 price tag, I jumped on it.It obviously measures your weight. But it also computes a measurement of body fat (and a number of other measurements, but body fat percentage is what I was most interested in). Everybody knows how the scale part works for weight — not too hard, you just stand on it. But the body fat percent computation is done by running a signal through the four contacts embedded in the top of the scale. And through some kind of amazing electronic voodoo it computes the percentage of fat in your body. Is it accurate. Well, here’s what I found.To determine how accurate it is I got on the machine at the gym and recorded its measurements. Then, as soon as I got home I hopped on the Etekcity scale and compared the weight and fat % results. The weight readings were dead on accurate as compared to the high-end machine at the gym. The body fat % though read lower than on the gym’s machine, by about 14%. Now, am I going to fault a $20 scale that is off a little bit for the fat % computation, heck no. I will simply make an adjustment in my head to figure what reality is closer to being. Bottom line, though, is I find this scale to be incredibly accurate, not to mention powerful, for something that cost only $20.The app is pretty nice. I’m not usually one for external apps like this, primarily because of extraneous data gathering policies. But this one is fairly un-obtrusive, and fairly intuitive to use. Bluetooth connects seamlessly and so far I have had zero issues.In the end, if you’re in the market for a new bathroom scale, this is a fantastic choice.

Best Scale Ever for the price! The Family Loves It. We replaced a previous digital scale with this one. It’s been a night/day change. the previous scale would changed depending on where you stood on the scale, if 1 leg was on a different ceramic tile then the others, it was very inconsistent. So you knew generally where you were in weight within about 5 lbs, but that’s not good enough when my wife an I have been on WW for the last 5 months. That old scale would show in increments of .2 on the scale, so if your goal was to lose 1 lb a week, it was impossible to see if you were on track.This scale is just the opposite. It doesn’t matter where it’s sitting, its accurate to .1 every time. My wife and I love it because of the app that automatically records the weight that just registered on the scale. We have only had it for the past month or so, but if it has a long life, we would rate it as one of the best we’ve ever had. At 60, that’s saying a lot.I gave the mobile App a 4-star to be picky. It has the ability to track several health devices in the app, but I only have the scale. so, when I open the app, it doesn’t go directly to the scale, it brings up a bit of a complicated dashboard with the scale icon at the bottom, then I have to choose it to start recording. I would like it to recognize me once I’m in the app without having to go the extra step to open the scale device icon. (picky, but thought it was worth mentioning). CAVEAT: The app might already do this, but it’s not obvious to the user and it doesn’t appear to do it; just saying!

You’ll also want to disconnect the Bluetooth connection after using the scale to ensure that another scale user’s weight isn’t captured in your app— though the app will helpfully asks about this if weight changes dramatically in a short time.The VeSync app is easy to use, if a bit cluttered with promotions for other of the manufacturer’s products. It includes tools to track your fitness journey and start a nutrition regimen.The app can connect to Amazon’s Alexa and syncs with popular fitness apps like Apple Health, Google Fit, and FitBit. Apple Health can conserve as a conduit to share data with other applications.All in, all this inexpensive feature rich scale exceeded expectations for this price point. It looks great too!
