Perfect for me. For clarity, this review is for the 15.6″ GTX 1650 version, not the 17.3″ GTX 1650Ti version.Positives!This laptop is perfect for me and what I need right now. I am currently in between homes, over the road a lot for work and have all of my stuff in storage, including my main PC, so I bought a laptop so I could continue doing work and gaming while on the go.This laptop is not top of the line by any means, it’s no $2,000 laptop with an RTX 3080 or anything like that, but if you want a good mid-range laptop that can get 60FPS on some everyday gaming, this is as good as mid-range laptops get in my opinion.Even on my main, much beefier PC, I’ve never been one to crank up the settings and enable raytracing, 4k etc. I’m more of a framerate type of person and this laptop does a great job getting high frame rates if you’re willing to adjust the settings accordingly. The screen is a clean 1920×1080, lovely quality (though the brightness isn’t that great), comes with an NVME 512GB hard drive which is not a bad start if you’re not trying to install a Call of Duty game with 100gb patches, but that leads into another glowing positive – this thing is upgradeable and I love it! One of the hardest things about picking a laptop for me is the eventual obsolescence, so in the few times I’ve bought a laptop in my life, I prefer ones you can upgrade which will allow you to skirt by the expected lifespan for a bit longer.Overall, my complaints a few, but I will point them out.Negatives!Honestly, 8GB of RAM is… well, it’s not enough for any modern PC that you want to do more than browse the internet, but this negative hardly counts against it because once again, it is upgradeable! I added 32GB to mine and it runs like a dream now. The fact it ships with such low RAM is forgivable because that’s probably why the price of entry is as low as it is.I also had a few problems with the Wi-Fi antenna at first, which I know is not unique to my laptop, but after a few online searches, troubleshooting and settings adjustments, it hasn’t dropped the connection for a couple of days, so I think I’m over that hump.My last complaint and honestly maybe the only one that could be considered “major” is the screen brightness. To be clear, I’m talking about BRIGHTNESS, not QUALITY. The resolution is wonderful and the screen is a clear HD experience, but keep this thing away from the sunlight if you want to see it easily… I took it to the park one day and while I could see the screen, I felt like I was squinting, and I had to change my preferred dark mode to light mode just to see the Windows UI better. Once again, I consider this a minor gripe and won’t take a star off, because if you’re using this thing indoors or in appropriate shade, the screen is beautiful.Overall, if you’re looking for an affordable, upgradeable, laptop suited for everyday gaming (as long as you’re not trying to push max settings, 4k or raytracing), you won’t be disappointed!

Llevo dos semanas usando la lap, y la verdad que es excelente para el precio, estoy totalmente satisfecho, la calidad de imagen es muy buena, la lap es muy rápida es general, el teclado es bastante llamativo y cómodo, para juegos va muy bien, en algunos que he probado.El envío fue muy rápido, me llegó casi una semana antes de lo previsto y la lap sin ningún problema.Los únicos detalles son que si necesita expandir la memoria al menos a 16gb, le agregue otra memoria a los 3 días. Yo la estoy usando con varios discos externos así que el poco almacenamiento no me ha sido un problema, pero si recomendaría agregarle otro SSD. Otro un punto es la batería, que le dura entre dos y tres horas en un so básico sin jugar, aunque es de esperar para una lap Gamer.

Very nice when I’m away from my desktop. Especially for only $650 US. This laptop feels very nice. I normally am using my custom desktop (RTX 3080 and Ryzen 5800x). This laptop’s specs are very nice for the price of $650 US. Runs any game on 1080p; newer ones are on low quality (as of games released during this review).Screen quality looks good. Nothing crazy for someone who wants to video edit, but for everyday use and gaming it looks great. Track pad feels very smooth and responsive. Webcam is pretty bad like all laptop webcams. Speakers have good volume; not the best balance. I think the port selection is really nice.The potential upgrade this laptop has is very nice. It has an extra slot for either an m.2 SSD or a 2.5in drive (comes with an adapter for m.2 to 2.5in. It also has another slot for RAM, or you can remove the current one and throw in two new sticks. I added a second 8GB of RAM, and if I want to add more storage I can.Temps are totally fine as well. Playing COD MW2 2022 at 1080p low with the fan and power profiles all set to performance mode. I was getting 79C on the CPU and 68C on the GPU.Battery life is not so good, but it can be around 1-2hrs. This is more than enough to move your laptop around and replug in. If you aren’t gaming or doing anything heavy on it, you may get around 2-3hrs of battery. IDK why it advertise a 90Whrs when it has 48Whrs. May be a mistake on Amazon’s website because it says 48 on ASUS’s site.Also, I recommend doing a fresh install of windows to remove the bloatware. Then go to ASUS’s site for the drivers and apps. this is what I did.

Extremely good but. The computer came in very well presented, not a single scratch even in the box.Wanted to wait a bit to create this review to check the performance. So far the quality is great, I work with several softwares open at the same time.The only thing I noticed was that sometimes the screen flickers a white screen, I havent noticed a pattern as to when exactly this happens but it worries me a little.The screen also turns completely black after unplugging from the power cord, a quick search online told me its completely normal. This didnt happen before with my previous laptop, a 7 year old lenovo.Sometimes it freezes, specifically when I tried to view a video over media player. Had to uninstall the app. Also I would recommend expanding the RAM to 32 gb, thats what I will do very soon.Overall very good! I dont really use it for gaming, I needed a laptop with a good graphic card for work and so far its doing great, very recommended!

Amazing laptop for the price. Bought this ASUS A17 (it was labeled F17 btw) to replace a 10 year old ASUS ROG gaming laptop that had a bum keyboard, battery, and GPU. I was hesitant to get the AMD CPU because I had always preferred Intel. But I was pleasantly surprised by the performance of this AMD processor. I primarily use this for gaming and web browsing and noticed the CPU was running at 95C while gaming. Although AMD and ASUS says that is normal I was not comfortable with running that hot for extended periods of time. I found the solution on the internet about how to stop the AMD CPU from auto boosting and now it runs at 65C while gaming with no drop in performance, which is lovely. The NVIDIA 4050 GPU is a beast, and will run all my games on ULTRA graphics with no problem. Overall I am really pleased with this laptop.Cons … no DVD which to me was not a deal breaker. Only 2 USB 3.0 ports but it does have 2 USB 4.0 ports. One visual issue to me is the status lights for battery and disk activity are on the top center right below the screen which to me is a distraction. Solved that by placing a small piece of black electrical tape over them.Pros … ASUS support. Had an issue after a BIOS update where I couldn’t adjust the screen brightness. Called ASUS tech support and they helped me solve the issue pronto. The build quality of this laptop is outstanding, well made and durable. It is half the thickness and weight of my old one. Keyboard, keyboard lighting, and touch pad are excellent. This machine also has 2 cooling fans and 4 exhaust ports one on each side and 2 in the back.Overall I’m satisfied with this much machine for $1300 and would highly recommend it.

Runs everything try on it. I’ve had computers and laptops alike but I’ve never played a system with this much power and processing speed. MWII runs like a dream. I’m on the road a lot and have about 3 hours of down time each day. I just find free Wi-Fi and play. As others have said the power box gets really hot and the dual fan work well but I think I’ll invest in a cooling pad to help keep it from getting too hot. Battery isn’t great but you can play for 1-1 1/2 hour without a charge. Great laptop. Well worth the money for what wanted it for.

BG3 and Hogwarts ….many more to come. Bought the laptop bc my older ASUS was getting, well…., old! It was time for a serious upgrade and this laptop did not disappoint. Super nice screen and full size keyboard since it’s a 17″ screen. It is NOT light but I didn’t expect it to be with the screen size and power it has. The changing lights on the keyboard is a bit odd so I found the setting to make it one color not a kaleidoscope, yikes!Fast boot up, battery seems to be decent and the overall feel of the laptop is very sturdy. Glad I made the move. On to more games!

This laptop is the perfect size and plays beautifully for the price. I’m not going to lie, I bought this laptop specifically to play Baulder’s Gate 3 and it has stood up so well! It is very fast and does not get too hot, even after hours of game play. I also love the look and size. It is very sleek and aesthetically appealing for a gaming laptop, and is a great option for people who want a gaming laptop but don’t like the more oddly shaped/ colored ones.

Wrong connector for ASUS FX506L. The screen is dimensionally correct, but the connector is a different type.

Impressive, with a few gripes that I can overlook. This is a platform with some potential. So to be clear, I’m not running this laptop as it arrived. I find the included storage and memory to be lacking, and bumped it to 4TB and 64GB before I even first powered it on. So I’ll avoid touching on those aspects of the laptop, but I’ll at least say that 1TB of storage and 16TB of RAM is… probably adequate for most. I consider it weird that OEMs are sticking to those numbers when both components are priced as they are, but this is one of those parts that you can’t help but know about when you make a purchase. It’s up to you whether that’s acceptable.Other than that though, the mobile 4070 has gone way past my expectations and can run everything I’ve thrown at it extremely competently. So far that includes games of varying heft, designing 3D models in Blender and Fusion 360, and some Stable Diffusion stuff using both 1.x and XL-based models. I haven’t thrown it at anything more demanding than the built-in screen, but I’m going to go out on a limb and assume it could handle 4K/60 with high or even maxed settings in a lot of games.Battery life is actually pretty impressive for something with these kinds of specs, as anything in the “desktop replacement” corner often treats the battery as a UPS rather than a way to survive on the go. Not really the case for this one; I can get 2-3 hours just doing non-intensive tasks like watching videos or general browsing, and a 100W USB-C charger or battery pack could extend that quite a lot without taking up as much bag space as the included 240W power supply.The screen is really pretty. They do a good enough job advertising its features without my help, so I’ll mostly just caveman this part and say that the colors are nice, the screen can get really bright but doesn’t need to in order to look good, and the viewing angles are completely beyond concern.But since I opened this by saying I gut-swapped this laptop day one, I should probably address the serviceability for anyone thinking of doing the same either now or down the line if they get it: This laptop has a captive screw in the bottom right corner that lifts the cover just enough for you to slide in a guitar pick or the like and poke the retaining clips on the right side of the laptop. After that, it’s a little fiddly but not that hard to just wiggle the whole cover off and get to work. The RAM and SSD are covered in some black paper tape that’s easily removed, the RAM is covered in a single piece of foil tape, and some thermal pads for each SODIMM, and the SSD is wrapped in a bit of a foil sock. I’m assuming this is both for heat transfer and EMI shielding, but it’s a bit weird to see it so overdone here when my last ASUS laptop did none of that. In any case I made note of the positions of everything and replaced it after I was done.Linux support is pretty decent so far. I’m just not a fan of Windows 11, but I’ll spare y’all that mess and just say that Arch runs really nicely on this with only some modest tweaking. It may be outside of your comfort zone, but if you ever feel the need, I’m confident that most can just make it a part of their comfort zone if they try. I can’t speak on the out of the box experience with all this stuff going on, but I love what resulted from less than a few hours’ modifications and upgrades.

The keyboard is lit which is a gamechanger and I didn’t even know the benefits of until I’ve experienced it. The keypad to the right is a huge plus!The speed is just what I needed in my streaming and online endeavors. I strongly recommend and encourage you to try this one out!

Dont fall victim to words like 4.5 ghz or Up to !! Always look for base Ghz. This one is 2.8. My older computer runs at 3.8 ghz, this (so called) newer model runs at 2.8 ghz but is being described as over 4.7 ghz. That being said, it can overclock or run up to 4.7 ghz Processor. Now it was a nice computer once you have things setup and downloaded. I had trouble with the keys (color) not listening to my input. Until the update was downloaded after that. I was able to set the right lighting and tone for the keys. Another problem was that the keys light never went off. Unlike with other models that had a timer on them. This one stayed lit the entire time. I did not like that and after some months of use. I’m sure the light would burn out & you would be left with no backlight for your keys.

Great laptop. Great laptop startup time is fast no leg time programs open fast as well with no lag time. Screen sizes great colors, graphics and sound card is great. The only downfall I see is speakers in laptop aren’t very loud connected to external speakers. Recommended to friends very good price for a capable good laptop.👍

Not worth it. Computer works decently but overall is not worth it. Support and the asus company as a whole is essentially nonexistent. My computer broke so I sent it in to their repair team to get it fixed, they sent it back with more issues, constantly crashing with the wrong amount of memory. It took them 3 months and 15 emails for them to get back to me just to say “no we didn’t sucks to suck” and stopped responding to me. Get literally any other brand and I gurentte you the customer service will be better then the sorry excuse ASUS has.

Great Small Gaming Laptop. This was purchased specifically for gaming. It worked well to start off but we quickly realized that it would benefit from more RAM. We purchased some 16GB DDR4 SO-DIMMs (32 GB total) and installed the RAM and now everything is fantastic. RAM installation was relatively easy. Getting the cover and all of the screws removed took a few minutes and RAM installation was less than a minute. Total upgrade time was about 8 minutes.

ASUS TUF Gaming F15 (2023) Gaming Laptop. I’ve had the laptop for about 4 months. Keyboard lighting is awesome and you can set it to one color or let it change through the colors. Awesome graphics for gaming and I also use for school assignments and personal use. I love the look!

Takes what you can throw at it. I bought a few of these and they will absolutely run anything you throw at them without issue. From Fallout 4 to Hell Divers 2 on max settings, doesn’t miss. Only complaint is the storage, but it has One (1) extra m.2 slot, but be careful, the screw is TORQUED HARD. I ended up pulling mine off the board trying to get it unscrewed. Nothing critical, got it patched up, but that was scary for a second. Been doing IT a long time, someone else might not be so lucky. Upgrade at your own risk.

Mínimo una vez al día me falla sin razón aparente (una vez fue porque cometí la locura de dar un click en el escritorio) y me falla solo una vez si tengo suerte. No es raro el dia que me falle dos o tres veces (el record hasta ahora son 5 veces).No es confiable, no es de uso rudo, no vale la pena por su precio.
